1、 Overview
When the continuous flow fluid in the high-pressure steam flowmeter pipeline passes through the orifice plate, the fluid cross-section shrinks sharply, causing resistance at the pipe wall, resulting in a decrease in flow velocity, low flow velocity, and high pressure. At the center of the pipeline, the flow velocity and pressure are low, resulting in acceleration of the fluid radially from the center to the edge of the orifice plate. Under the influence of this radial acceleration, the flow direction of fluid particles near the pipe wall deviates towards the orifice opening, forming a local contraction of the flow beam (see Figure 1). The high-pressure steam flowmeter has a fast flow velocity and low static pressure at the center of the orifice plate opening, resulting in a pressure difference between the fluid before passing through the orifice plate and when passing through it. This pressure difference is proportional to the square of the fluid flow rate, and the fluid flow rate is calculated based on this proportional square relationship.
